[FX.php List] FX.php compatibility with FMS 9.0

Considering the progression...
-FileMaker 4.1, where you could run your entire web site on FMP client
-FileMaker Unlimited (5.5/6.0), a special $1000 version of client
was needed to accept more than 10 connections
-FMSA with its true server requirements and $2500 price tag for web
support
...it would appear that FMI is adjusting to web development obviating
the need for client licenses, and the corresponding revenue drain. I
would be very surprised if FMI is going to go back to letting us
deploy web-based sites on FMP client software. Besides, I hated the
days of FMU, an app with a UI, running on a live server. Nothing but
trouble.
Any way, perhaps there will be a way to develop using the PHP API (or
potentially FX.php) on FMP client, but license restrictions would
prevent public deployment of such a system without FMSA. I would be
all for this; it would make working on FMP sites on airplanes much
easier!
