[FX.php List] FX Error

I just received the following automated error message:

The following error just occured in <APP_NAME>:
Message: FX: ExecuteQuery XML error: Invalid document end at line 2

I was wondering what causes this error, and where I should be looking  
to find the problem.  The part "Invalid document end at line 2"  
particularly confuses me.
