[FX.php List] 956 Maximum number of database sessions exceeded error message

It did not solve anything for me, however I have just slept since I
posted that tip.

I will look into it shortly.

956 is definitely not showing up due to overload, the server is behind
a firewall and I am the only user keying in XML RPC queries of the
simplest sort.
