I can recommend it, with some mild warnings. It's only been out for about a month, so some lumps are being ironed out. The developer is very responsive and addresses found problems quickly. It's not quite as easy as just switching (not including the FileMaker 5.5 -> 8 issues) because layouts need to be massaged a bit since the security works differently in FM 8... mostly adding fields that can no longer be "seen". There are some minor bugs that will probably be gone in the next release, but they are fairly cosmetic for my application (which is NOT a simple one) and, with the exception of the "page expired" problem, the site is now working nearly the same as before we switched on April 20th. Not all of the transition problem are due to Blackbelt, but rather the way FMSA works differently, in terms of file-opening and permissions, than FMU. Some of these, if not addressed, cause serious speed or function problems. But having fixed a few, I now know where to look, and quickly remedy problems. With those addressed the speed is satisfactory.
