[FX.php List] undefined functions after php 5.0.3->5.1.2

Hi everybody,
After rebuilding my php (so as to get mbstring into it) and bringing  
it up to 5.1.2, I'm getting the following on a lot of my pages:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function xml_parser_create() in /usr/ 
local/www/data-dist/<site>/FX/FX.php on line 1352

This also happens with the simple function session_start()

Anyone else have this problem?
