[FX.php List] XML Error

I apologize if this is the wrong place for this question.  The school district net nanny is keeping me out of various FileMaker support forums.

I am encountering some sort of XML error that is preventing me from accessing FileMaker data with FX.

There are no error codes, and no data is retrieved.  When I click the Filemker URL I am prompted to log in by a popup window, despite having the correct user name and password supplied in server_data.

Upon logging in with the FileMaker user and password, I get "The XML page cannot be displayed" and the following error:

The following tags were not closed: FMPXMLRESULT, RESULTSET, ROW. Error processing resource 'http://206.193.1.140/fmi/xml/F...

The error message is unfortunately cut off.  

I have been able to query other filemaker databases on the same server with no trouble and no login prompt.  However, two particularly complex and important files are giving me this error.

These files were converted from .fp5, which were converted years ago from an even earlier version...  but I have been able to query other files that were also converted with no trouble.  The files in question can be properly viewed in IWP and FileMaker 8.  Is there anything in a database which might be causing this?

The host server is FM8SA and IIS.
