My attempt to point an existing, working site at FMS13 (production site uses same PHP code and database on FMS12) results in an error 4. Manually punching a query into the URL box gives me a generic page titled ?FileMaker Database Server Website.? It looks like it?s just ignoring the query part and returning the test page for the server?s IP address. I know there was a lot of discussion of deploying FMS13 earlier, but I confess I wasn?t paying attention to the resolutions of problems. My environment: MacPro running OS X 10.10.3 FMS 13.0.5 (single-machine setup) XML enabled, PHP disabled, FileMaker Webdirect disabled Deployment assistant passed all the tests and says Apache is happy. Did I miss a step? I?m using FX.php v6.0. That?s the latest production release, I think? The database is named exactly as it is for the production server. I've never used extensions in my server_data, so that?s not it either. Also, I should mention that client-server is working, so I can verify the databases are active and editable, and permissions are set right, and the server is actually serving FileMaker goodness. I seem to remember some issues with a one-machine install for web? Is this a problem? I can?t say I?m really happy about FMS13 insisting on taking over port 80. One difficulty is that after moving FX.php to github, I stopped being careful about updating the version numbering (I've repented, and the current development branch is version 6.9). Anyway, here are the things we did to get the other install working: 1) Grabbed the latest production version from github, and installed it. 2) After doing the above, there was an authentication error. We fixed that by finding the curl_setopt() call dealing with CURLOPT_HTTPAUTH and changing the value from CURLAUTH_BASIC to CURLAUTH_ANY, or vice versa. (I am making this a simpler tweak in the development version of FX.php.) 3) Finally, when looking at the XML path being output during debugging, I noticed that the path was for version 6 and earlier of FileMaker (for whatever reason it was defaulting to that), so we added the FileMaker version explicitly. I expect this last one won't be a problem for you, but just in case... Hope this helps. I'm currently working on some long overdue polishing, etc. that should make dealing with things like this easier. I recently created a development branch of FX.php on the github site. This is really long overdue, and it will give people a change to look at new things before they're released. That said, you still have to look at what's there to provide quality feedback =) So, here are some things to look at: 1) The FX Parser has been updated, and is now more integrated into the release (some of the documentation was getting really outdated.) 2) There is now a Documentation directory where nice, new documentation is being created. The new docs are HTML/CSS/JS to be more easily updated by those who find mistakes. And as those are the front end technologies being used by most FX.php developers, I thought it made sense. The FX Parser documentation has been integrated into a "Getting Started" portion of the docs. Also, some language has been more generalized to better reflect that fact that FX.php doesn't just connect to FileMaker (this is important as FX is part of the supporting structure for KeenMVC, which I am still working on...) The function documentation will be making its way into the new format, too. 3) I've been working on cleaning up problems in the code, and ensuring consistency across data source support. At any rate, have a look around, and let me know what you think. There seem to be ever more FileMaker Web Developers, and I'm trying to support them better. That said, the current changes won't affect your existing code, and they're still in the development branch (there's a pulldown for the desired branch on github.) I did just add a feature today -- all script-related functions functions (there are three) now have an optional second parameter for passing a script parameter to FileMaker. I would really like some feedback on whether people encounter problems with this development release, and ON THE DOCS. The Documentation directory can easily be opened without installing anything on your server -- it's just HTML/CSS/JS. I think it's a huge step up, but I'd really like some feedback from some impartial third parties. =) Next year, I AM hoping to be at DevCon. My plan is to have FX.php 7.1 ready by then (this will be a modernized version that requires a 5-something version of PHP.) I'll add some functionality, including configuration of object defaults via .ini files (no more having to tweak default values inside FX.php). Also next year, I'm planning to have my MVC framework ready. The view part of this framework is pure HTML -- i.e. NO embedded PHP in the files, AT ALL. (This means that even web browsers will render them beautifully.) I'm really excited about KeenMVC. Anyway, enjoy DevCon this year!
