[FX.php List] Setting a global...

I'm trying this, and am getting an errorCode of 0, but my global's not getting set:

$q =new FX($serverIP,$webCompanionPort, $dataType, $scheme);
$q->SetDBData( $dbmain , 'web_search');
$q->SetDBPassword($webpw,$webun);
$q->SetFMGlobal ('g_param', $recid);
$qResult=$q->FMFindAll();

echo $qResult['errorCode'];

What am I missing here?
