Don't change it; all you need to do is rename the database anywhere that you reference it, so that it has its fmp12 extension.

Hopefully your database name is in your server data page and not in all your queries; if it *is* in all your queries, you'll have to change each one so that it reads "database.fmp12" instead of "database.fp7."
