[FX.php List] Any body ever use pyfilemaker?

My client is looking for command line access to FileMaker data in batch
modes in and out. I found the page below...
It seems this will work. It is similar to FX in as far as it uses the XML
result method, but no web server needed.
I am not a Python guy so how easy it it to learn?
