Thanks, our main tasks is to rewrite the content code base that was written 7 years ago.
We want to reduce the lines of code and make support much simpler.
We had not considered jQuery Mobile for possible mobile capabilities.

Yes, we built a web app, designed to be used on mobile devices, using HTML5 and jQuery Mobile - wired a treat...
As Andy pointed out, HTML5 has no impact on the 'backend' but it does on the front-end and the way in which the content is ultimately delivered...
