[FX.php List] Monthly Event Calendar recommendations?

I did a project like this and created an HTML page with a grid (tables),
labeled each cell with the date. The took the HTML body code from that page
and created a FileMaker calculation where the result is html text with data
from your FM file in each cel. Then echo that field from PHP/FX.
I am sure there are other simpler ways, hope this helps a little.
