[FX.php List] Script Finish after page load

Hi guys,

A question - which has probably been answered before (if so, please  
excuse me)
It concernes both FX.php and FM API

I have a button on a page - when clicked it runs a Filemaker script  
on the current record (works fine). At the bottom of the page I use  
location (header : detail.php) to redirect the user back to the page.

When the server is under a heavy load - if may take a few seconds for  
the script to run (in Filemaker client it needs 2 seconds roughly)
Which means - if a user clicks the button, they may not see the  
results they expect to see - and may need to refresh the page (again)

Does the rest of the php script pause until the Filemaker script has  
finished running ? Is there a way to say (pause the php script UNTIL  
the Filemaker script has happily run ?
