Bob,I think you need to re-install filemaker server.  When you re-install it
do it as a 1 machine setup.  Make sure to enable apache on your filemaker
server so it is also a web server.  You shouldn't have to do anything
special on opening ports or configuring on your remote hosted webserver.
 Make sure all of your fx.php pages point to the ip address of your
filemaker server and not your offsite hosted web server.  Then upload your
website to that hosted webserver.  This set up should work.  That is what I
am doing now.
