Bob,

The Drobo is nice but I have read about a few catastrophic failures so  
make sure that you also have an additional off-site backup of some kind.

You might look at one of the RTX drives from Wiebetech.com which allow  
you to quickly swap hard drives so that you can easily take a backup  
drive off-site.
