[FX.php List] fx.php website speed issues

So how much do unstored calculated fields slow up web response times even
though they may not be on layouts being called on by fx.php?

Subject: Re: [FX.php List] fx.php website speed issues

I've been using just one server for production but although it is set up
with everything, I don't run any php on it - all my php is run on a separate
server.

So my filemaker server handles the fmxml requests as well as database
connections from the client, but not website traffic.. it also has 15k rpm
drives.

It runs very well..
One thing that slows down web apps and filemaker are unstored calculations,
or calculations that update every time you open filemaker each day (like the
old practice of making a "Today" field), and running filemaker scripts from
fx.php probably does as well.
