[FX.php List] User Names and Passwords

Hi,

I have a user table with passwords for the web but want to make sure I
follow "best practise" up to the point of financial viability.

Question : How do others store those passwords ?

1. In a plain text field
2. Encrpted using a Filemaker Custom Function
3. Using a plugin
4. Outside of filemaker
5. Some other method

Any insight would be appreciated.
