[FX.php List] Upgrading from FMS 7 and FX

One thing to consider is that Filemaker Server 9 can be cheaper than Server
8 Advanced. I had a hard time upgrading my PHP install when upgrading to
Server 9 and settled on using Filemaker's version of PHP but we currently
use both FX and Filemaker's PHP api and everything seems to run well.

I am looking for your 2 cents on the path to upgrade my client from
FMserver7 to and advance version of 7, 8 or 9. The PHP quries he needs are
simple and the traffic will be relatively low. Right now he sends a nightly
export from FM to MySql.
I know I have to upgrade to at least FMSA 7, My question is Can I stay with
7 or should I go with 8 or even 9. I do not want to use Filemaker's PHP api.
I want to stay with FX.
