[FX.php List] [OT] Client asking about installing plugin on server

I haven't put any plugins on my FM Server machines, but I have a  
client who is wanting to use SMTP-it on one of my servers. I used to  
use SMTP-it in the old days, and it worked fairly well; is it going to  
cause any performance degradation on my server? Are there any known  
issues with using plugins server-side?

This guy is writing his web app using XSLT... against anything I can  
tell him. Sheesh...
