John,
While I've not done a conversion from ODBC to FX, my opinion would be
that it would be a worthy piece of work in the long run. Coding
wouldn't be the same, although some structures like FOREACH loops
would be the same, with some code changes perhaps necessary for
variables (that all depends on how your ODBC code was written). Since
FX uses PHP, and if your existing site was written in PHP, the mods
wouldn't be that monumental.
