[FX.php List] Strange FX behavior

Also, Ive found that in CWP on Windows, file relationships between files on
the same server dont work unless theyre specified with the file: prefix
(file:DatabaseName). fmnet: by itself wont work. I have no idea if this
also holds true on Mac.

Remember, to return a value that's derived from a relationship, the related
file must be authorized for fx.php access, also.

Here's something interesting.
I can try everything with this database to return these problematic fields,
but I think I know now why they won't return:
The client has <apparently> created some convoluted relationship to pull
this name into this record; here's the message I see when I try to toggle
indexing on this record:
<image removed>
I suspect this is why FX won't return it. The name it's trying to pull in is
a calc field that concatenates first & last name, and was indexed; I tried
toggling the indexing just to see if it would matter, which it didn't.
I've used related fields a million times in FX, so I know it's not just
that... any thoughts? :)

Erik tossed out a lot of good things to try. Another one is permissions.
Does your web user in FMP have access to the new layout you created?
I have also had some success with selecting the fields on the layout that
don't show up and choosing Bring to Front. Don't know if that's just crazy
or what.

There have been a few similar cases on the list, where the problem was a
damaged layout...
Have you tried creating a new layout?
Tried it, didn't help.
Are you searching on one layout and returning using another layout?
Nope.
Have you checked permissions aren't customised (limited acces to some
fields)?
I don't think that's the problem.
Do you get an error from FX?
Nope.
How does the raw return data from FX look?
Are you positve the Filemaker file in question has never crashed?
Who knows... these files are such a mess. Today I'm going to try doing a
query for that particular record, and just that one field, which I'm going
to put on a test layout... very annoying.
