Strange; I can't help but wonder if it had something to do with the  
move to 10.4. I hired an Apache guy, who really knew his stuff, and  
he went thru Terminal and figured everything out; I had zero luck  
getting anyone to help me from an Apple perspective. This guy was  
able to go thru the server and look thru logs and things, and got to  
the heart of it, got me working... finally... he told me that, with  
their Apache/Linux machines, he never uses passphrases anyway... so  
I'm not concerned.
