[FX.php List] dashboard widgets and fx.php

Windows Vista has something that is essentially a widget clone, from  
what I understand, although I've not seen them.

Widgets started with a guy named Arlen Rose, who wrote these little  
devices; he sold his company to Yahoo, who relabeled them Yahoo Widgets.

 From what I understand, Apple widgets are essentially using the same  
technique.
