[FX.php List] Not a valid path - for scheduled backups

If you're saving to a folder of backups, for instance:
/Volume1/Backups/1
/Volume1/Backups/2
/Volume1/Backups/3
Make sure the Backups folder has the 'fmserver' owner and press the "Apply to enclosed items..." button.

GGT,
I wish that were it. I just tried that, but no luck. Actually the Schedules part of the FileMaker Server Admin also indicates that, even though it keeps trying, the last successful backup was 5/27/2007 (other schedules successful in the week preceding that).
The Event.log also has reports of unsuccessful backup attempts.

I'm trying the change of ownership of the external drive... sure enough, one of the choices in the dropdown is literally "fmserver", so I changed the owner (it was "mini3user") but this hasn't produced the valid path indication. I'm going to stop and restart FMS when I can, to see if this is required to make the change work. I can't do that right now, I'd have employees coming running screaming the system is down!
