[FX.php List] Reuse Variables on the same page?

Hi Folks,

I'm editing someone else's fx.php solution and observed that the code 
reuses variables on the page. Assuming that the value of the 
variables is not needed later in the script, are there any reasons 
why this is a good idea or bad idea?

Also, the script uses the same fx.php instance variables several 
times on the same page.
