Here's a new question, also off the FX path a bit:

Is there a way to create a RAID array in Mac OS X *without* re- 
initilaizing the existing drive? I want to put RAID 1 in one of my  
machines, but don't want to have to re-install everything, and I seem  
to recall that there was a method to get RAID 1 installed without a  
re-install.
