[FX.php List] having some trouble with the basics

Ah ha!!!  I think we've found the source of at least part of the
trouble.  Thanks so much for your help everyone.

 

Since I'm sure you're all dying of curiosity, let me explain.  On our
FileMaker Server, we have it configured so that you can only see the
databases listed that you are allowed to login to.  This means that to
get a database listing, you have to login, and then to access the
database, you have to login again.  We use it mainly to keep people from
getting confused by seeing databases they don't have to use.  (We have
about 6 databases, but very few people use more than 2.)  It looks like
this feature is not supported by FX.php.  I turned it off, and voila,
all the example files magically started working.
