[FX.php List] MacOS X Apache mounted volumes

I tried mounting a samba volume like

sudo mount_smbfs //mtpgw:mtpgw at 10.225.90.127/archive
/Library/WebServer/Documents/documents/

but it tells me

You don't have permission to access /documents/ on this server.

Apache/1.3.33 Server at filemaker.marinetrans.com Port 80

Is this a MacOS X thing? Or is it an Apache issue; I do have
FollowSymlinks ... but not luck.
