Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. After trying several things, including restarting the FileMaker services, I tried recovering the calendar database file, and lo and behold, it's sorting correctly now. Weird! Maybe it is a problem with the 8.0v1 client... Time to upgrade to 8.5? Anyway, thanks again. Chris
