[FX.php List] FMSA 8 serious bug affecting FX

Hey all, there is a serious bug with FMSA 8 that causes fx to fail in the
following scenario.

The xml that is returned by FMSA 8 using the FMPXMLRESULT.xml schema is
truncated, invalid, and causes an FX exception
if any of the following are true:

1. If there is a field on the layout that is invalid. I.e. The field had
been added to the layout, then deleted from the schema.
2. If there is a field that is from an unrelated table instance.
3. (most ickey) if there is a field from a related table instance that has a
valid join, but no related record.
3a. You seem to be able to resolve this if you make sure the relationship
allows creation of related records, but that is not ideal.

FileMaker does not seem to be in a hurry to fix this documented and
submitted bug, but it absolutely kills fx.

The new xml schema for xml web publishing, fmresultset.xml does not display
this problem.

Soooooo, is fx being modified to allow use of this new (and actually much
superior imho) schema?

Just to throw fuel on the fire, has there been any discussion of turning fx
into an actual php extension or a pear or pecl extension? There would seem
to be some performance advantages to doing so.
